Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, and he was an orphan. His adopted parents, Clara and Paul Jobs are the ones who named him. His adopted father would spend time with his son taking apart and putting back together electronics. Steve was a troublemaker in school, but he was very smart. Steve Jobs went to Reed College located in Portland, Oregon. He didn't stay but one semester and dropped out. In 1974 he took up business with Atari. A few months later he left for India. When he was 21 he and his partner established Apple Computers. Apple Computers made them billions of dollars. The next few products after Apple II were recalled. Apple's president, John Scully, started thinking that Jobs was hurting Apple Computers. Then in 1985 he resigned from Apple and went to a company called NeXT, inc. The next year he invested $50 million into Pixar Studios. Then in 2006 the company helped Walt Disney making him Disney's largest share holder. Apple bought NeXT, inc. in 1997 and Steve was the CEO once again. He offered Apple products such as iMac. In 2003 he received the depressing news that he had cancer. He held off surgery for nine months. In 2004 he had a surgery without any complications. It proved successful. Recently, Apple has produced Macbook Air, iPod, and iPhone. Their profit skyrocketed. Early in 2009 his health declined and many people noticed it. Many people do not know about Jobs family, but they do know that he had a child at the age of 23 with his girlfriend, Chrisann Brennan. His daughter, Lisa did not get to know her father until she was seven and went and lived with him once she was a teenager. Steve Jobs married a young woman named Laurene Powell on March 18, 1991.
