Steven Jobs---Haley

On February 24,1955, Steven Paul Jobs was born, his parents were two graduates of the University of Wisconsin. At this time Jobs had no name. Shortly after his birth his parents gave him up for adoption. Not long after he was placed with his adoption family his biological parents got married and had a child. Steven Jobs couldn't in cover information about his biological parents until he was twenty-seven years old. His parents name were Clara and Paul Jobs. They lived in the Mountain View within California's Silicone Valley.

As Steven grew older he and his father would work on electronics in the families garage, Paul his father taught him many things about electronics and how to take things apart and put them back together. Jobs was not the bet student in his elementary years, actually he was quite a prankster. Something that surprised me was hid fourth grade teacher had to bribe him to study. When Steven tested he did so well they wanted to skip him to high school, but his parent decided it be best for him to stay in the same grade. When Jobs time did come for high school, he quickly made friends. One particular friend was Steve Wozniak, he was the computer club guru. He was great with computer engineering, and not before long Jobs and Wozniak developed a great friendship.

After high school Jobs attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon. I guess this just wasn't his thing, because after six months he dropped out. The next eight-teen months he was attending some creative classes. Jobs then later took a course in calligraphy developed his love of typography, which having to do with printing and designing. In 1974 Steven took a job with a video designer Atari. Then again several months later Jobs left. This time Jobs found something in India he enjoyed, Steven Jobs would now start traveling the continent and experimenting with psychedelic drugs. Later on Jobs met up with his former high school friend Steve Wozniak.

They started Apple Computers, they started working in the family garage. These two men created technology that the machines were smaller, cheaper, intuitive, and accessible to everyday consumers. Since then there has been an Apple 1 and an Apple 2.Although the next products Apple came out with did not sell the best. Surprisingly IBM surpassed Apples sales, so now Apple was competing with IBM and PC. Apple now had Macintosh marketing the computer as a piece of a counter culture: romantic, youthful, and creative. Jobs resigned as the Apple CEO and began a new hardware and software company called NeXT Inc. Later on Jobs bought an animation company from George Lucas, which later became Pixar Animation. Some of the most popular films that we enjoy the most are Finding Nemo, Toy Story, and The Incredibles. Pixar films have netted over four billion dollars. Jobs then came back to Apple CEO. In 2003 Jobs had bad news, he had developed a tumor. This was a rare but operable form of pancreatic cancer. He did not have surgery immediately, he postponed it for nine months. This made the workers for Apple very nervous about Steven Jobs. Finally in 2004 he had a successful surgery.

The latest products from Apple are the iPod, iPhone, And the Macbook Air. Right after these products came out the other companies scurried to find something or comparable to these new products. In 2008 iTunes became the second biggest music retailer; second only to Wal-Mart. In 2009 there were concerns about Steve Jobs weight loss. Some thought his health problems had returned, which included a liver transplant.

Jobs had a daughter and girlfriend named Chrisann Brennan when he was twenty-three. He denied paternity of his daughter in court documents, claiming he was sterile. Jobs did not initiate with his daughter until she was seven years old, and it was until she was a teenager that she lived with her dad. In the early 1990s Steven met Laurene Powell at Standford business school. About a year later on March 18,1991, they got married. The Jobs family currently lives in Palo Alto, California, with their three children. Steven Jobs recently is on a medical leave again from work, and aren't sure when he will return.
