My Meaning of proofreading -
Proofreading is reading a artist work and showing them things they need to change and fix.
Example -
Catherine wrote a paper for language and she asked me to proofread, so I read through her paper 3 times before I put any marks on it, then I went through and marked what was misspelled, any grammar problems, and I even marked things I thought that she could take out or the things she did not need.
