Proofreading - Madison

Proofreading- To read in order to detect and mark errors to be corrected.

The definition of proofreading means to read over something and make sure that there is not any mistakes, and if there is, to correct them.

One example could be an essay for school. You would need to go over it to ensure there is no errors. These simple errors could count off needed points, so you always check over it. This is just one, out of many, examples of proofreading.
